Ch 22: The Tin Box

Cloe rushed to tune in, and the voice of Absko echoed through the speakers. “Who is behind the shadow? Why have you brought me here? Why does he want me to write another blog? What is the news this time? What are you planning to do?” Absko’s voice was filled with anger and confusion. Cloe listened carefully, taking note of each word.
Absko seemed to be speaking to someone who had brought him to Mombasa, likely the same individual who had been leaking information for his blog. But what did he mean by "the shadow"? And what exactly was this person planning?
Cloe decided to call Shree for help. She needed her to investigate every video sent to Garry, Alex, and the message to Dadh Singh. Perhaps the clue about the "shadow" would appear somewhere in the messages.
As Cloe mulled over the mystery, she turned her attention back to the tin box. In Mombasa, she had tried unsuccessfully to open it, but now, with Daniel by her side and some new gadgets at his disposal, she hoped to make progress. Daniel had just received a shipment of new detective tools from the bureau in Finland, and among them was a burning laser watch that could cut through metal with a single click.
Cloe’s hands trembled slightly as she activated the device. The laser whizzed through the tin, neatly cutting away the lid. What lay inside took her completely by surprise.
